Premalignant conditions often present as redness and scaling of the skin. This can be an isolated area on any part of the body but most commonly occurs on the face. These can also be confluent to involve a larger area usually on the scalp or head.
If a red scaly lesion or area is not going away or not healing, then a consultation for diagnosis and consideration of treatment is recommended.
What are the treatment options?
There are many treatment options available for pre-malignant conditions. These include cryotherapy, skin surgery, topical agents or photodynamic therapy. The options will be discussed with you at your clinic appointment and a treatment plan will be made.
